We’re kicking off a new tradition! You might remember when you were kids jumping in the car and riding around to see all the Christmas lights, or perhaps you took a walk down the streets of town to see them. Well, this is our very own version of that memory the Light Up Your Spirit event. Heritage Days is working hard to provide year round family centered events. This year more than ever we need a little Christmas Spirit. Any Residence or Business in the 16125 zip code c...an participate in the 1st Heritage Days Light Up Your Spirit Contest. There is no charge for participation. There will be 3 prizes of $100 each for Residence and 2 prizes of $100 each for Businesses. There will be 3 Residential categories: Traditional Whimsical Christmas Light’em Up Overload! Businesses will have 2 categories: Traditional Christmas Light’em Up Overload. The members of the Heritage Days Committee will serve as the judges. All the judges decisions are final. Sign ups must be in by December 16th at 5pm. Winners will be notified on December 21, 2020 by phone and results will also appear in the Record Argus. The judges will drive or walk by all the participants residences or businesses between December 17th thru 20th. Thank you to everyone that attended this year's Riverside Haunting. This year we are giving out prizes for the top 3 vote earners. This year’s winners are: FIRST PLACE ($100)- Spooks R Us (Elk S Lodge #145, Lisa's General store, Greenville Pa., Carried Away Outfitters & the Gearhart Family & friends. ... SECOND PLACE ($50)- Dead Possum Riding Club THIRD PLACE ($25 each) - Fry's TV & Appliance and the Jamestown Boy Scouts. Everyone that took the time to set up you were all amazing!
