Spiritual Food for Thoughts Monday, April 12, 2021 Scripture: 1 Peter 4:10... Just as each one of you has received a special gift [a spiritual talent, an ability graciously given by God], employ it in serving one another as [is appropriate for] good stewards of God’s multi-faceted grace [faithfully using the diverse, varied gifts and abilities granted to Christians by God’s unmerited favor]. Topic: New Attitude with a Purpose Our new attitude can transform the purpose of our life. When we set our mind on God on purpose each day, our life has a new direction with an intended purpose. When we pray with a new attitude, our horizon will be altered with a new purpose. Each day when we wake up with a purpose, we will do spectacular and amazing things for God’s glory. Take the Word of God to be your GPS so He can reveal to you the amazing journey. Read and Meditate on: Jeremiah 29:11; Psalm 25:5; Psalm 27:11 Tip of the Week: Let’s get into the Word so we can live life in a new attitude and a journey to fulfill God’s purpose in our life. Spiritual Food for Thoughts Monday, March 22, 2021 Scripture: James 1:5-7... 5-If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him. 6- But he must ask [for wisdom] in faith, without doubting [God’s willingness to help], for the one who doubts is like a billowing surge of the sea that is blown about and tossed by the wind. 7-For such a person ought not to think or expect that he will receive anything [at all] from the Lord. Topic: Wisdom The power of wisdom is knowledge. True wisdom is from God. Obedience is the key to finding the wisdom and guidance. Where you find truth in obeying God’s will, the supernatural wisdom comes in full power. When you put God first in your life, the clarity of wisdom put your circumstances in clear perspective. Read and Meditate on: Proverbs 1:7; Proverbs 2:6 Tip of the Week: Put God’s words in your mouth daily and he will direct your path in all your decisions.

Spiritual Food for Thoughts Monday, March 1, 2021 Scripture: 1 John 4:18... There is no fear in love [dread does not exist]. But perfect (complete, full-grown) love drives out fear, because fear involves [the expectation of divine] punishment, so the one who is afraid [of God’s judgment] is not perfected in love [has not grown into a sufficient understanding of God’s love]. Topic: 3 Things in Life that are Most Valuable Love, Faith, Prayer Love is focusing on others and not on ourselves. When you find love, you will find peace, joy and serenity. With God’s love, there is freedom to love others fearlessly. Faith is believing beyond your circumstances. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 4:18, So we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are unseen; for the things which are visible are temporary [just brief and fleeting], but the things which are invisible are everlasting and imperishable. Prayer is power. Our positive attitude, positive behavior, and quality relationships with others brings harmony. Read and Meditate on: Mark 11:24-25 Tip of the Week: Value the people you encounter this week with love for appreciation, faith in each other’s differences, and prayer for one another’s needs.

Spiritual Food for Thoughts Monday, January 25, 2021 Scripture: Matthew 22:37... And Jesus replied to him, YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND. Topic: Commitment Shape Your Decisions in Life Every commitment you decide can have a positive or negative outcome in your life. The decisions you make will define the person you become. Before making a big commitment, seek God for guidance and direction for whether or not following through with it. Here are some thoughts to consider: - Is this decision I’m making pleasing to God? - Will this decision be a positive or negative consequence in my life? - Do I have peace after making this commitment? Your commitment shapes the decisions in life by the choices you make and the influence you have on others. Read and Meditate on: Genesis 22:1; Revelations 3:2; 1 Kings 8:61 Tip of the Week: Pray for guidance for the commitment or choices you make. May the decisions you make have a profound impact around the people you respect.

Spiritual Food for Thoughts Monday, December 7, 2020 Scripture: 1 Corinthians 13:7 Love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things ... [looking for the best in each one], hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening]. Topic: Love conquers all Love conquers all even when times are tough. We encounter difficult people who are unpleasant and rude at times. It doesn’t mean we treat them the same way. You may be asking, why not?. If you are a believer, you must love everybody even when they are challenging to deal with. It’s important to remember that God loves you and accepts you as you are. Therefore, we accept others, love them unconditionally, forgive them, and treat them with respect. By doing so, it will transform your relationships with them. Let your love be open to all people which in turn lead to amazing blessings. Read and Meditate on: John 13:34; Romans 5:8 Tip of the Week: Let’s take time to show love to others.

Spiritual Food for Thoughts Wednesday, November 11, 2020 Scripture: Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,... Will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus Topic: Peace How does one find peace in God and in ourselves? According to the Bible, the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, is the harmony and calmness of body, mind, and spirit that supersedes earthly circumstances. Throughout scriptures in Philippians, we find that peace is defined as a blessing from God with His loving character. Here’s some ways to practice peace in our everyday life. - Be wise in how we spend our time. - Decide to not procrastinate in doing the things that needs to be done. Allow God to guide us and exercise self-discipline in our daily life. - Find your quiet place with prayer and meditate on God’s words. Ask God for wisdom to make changes in our life that will prosper our thought process. May God lead you in finding the peace and harmony in your life. Read and Meditate on: 1 Peter 5:7; John 16:33; 2 Thessalonians 3:16 Tip of the Week: Let’s look to God for guidance and steps to walk in peace each day.

Spiritual Food for Thoughts Monday, November 2, 2020 Scripture: 1 Peter 3:8-9... Verse 8 - Finally, all of you be like-minded [united in spirit], sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted [courteous and compassionate toward each other as members of one household], and humble in spirit; Verse 9 - and never return evil for evil or insult for insult [avoid scolding, berating, and any kind of abuse], but on the contrary, give a blessing [pray for one another’s well-being, contentment, and protection]; for you have been called for this very purpose, that you might inherit a blessing [from God that brings well-being, happiness, and protection]. Topic: Compassion for One Another Our compassion for others is more important today than any other time. With all the uncertainty in the world we live in, we have God to lead us each day to show us compassion to others. What are some things we can do for each other? - Check on our family & friends to see how we can help by either a phone call, groceries, etc. - Virtual zoom calls to bring some contact in seeing one another - Being there for each other when they are suffering By being compassionate for one another, our love from God will be shown to others. Read and Meditate on: Matthew 9:36; 2 Corinthians 1:3-4; Colossians 3:12-13 Tip of the Week: Let’s take the initiative to show compassion to others. Our love and compassion will warm the people that crosses our path.

Spiritual Food for Thoughts Tuesday, September 29, 2020 Scripture: John 16:33... I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world. [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.] Topic: Overcomer With everything happening around the world with Covid, we need to depend and rely on God more than ever. God will never forsaken us with the challenges we are facing each day. When we are uncertain of things to do in life, do it afraid anyway because God says he will never leave us or forsaken us. In Psalms 56:3, it says, When I am afraid, I will put my trust and faith in You. We are overcomers with God’s power within us. In 1 John 5:4, it says, For everyone born of God is victorious and overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has conquered and overcome the world our [continuing, persistent] faith [in Jesus the Son of God]. Read and Meditate on: Psalm 13:4; 1 John 5:5; Psalm 117:2 Tip of the Week: Bring joy to others with a kind word or bring groceries to others who’s in desperate need.

Spiritual Food for Thoughts Monday, September 21, 2020 Scripture: Hebrews 4:12... For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart. Topic: Positive Thoughts Your thoughts determine your emotions. To bring your joy out, push the negative thoughts out the door. Don’t allow the past hurts and disappointments come to light. We need to practice positive thoughts in every situation of our lives. When going through a difficult time, anticipate that God will works things out for our good. Remember the lessons you have learned and realized the amazing person you have become. Extraordinary people are regular people with special amounts of perseverance. Spiritual Food for Thoughts Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020 Scripture: Proverbs 15:4... A soothing tongue [speaking words that build up and encourage] is a tree of life. But a perversive tongue [speaking words that overwhelm and depress] crushes the spirit. Topic: Words Our words have either a fragrant of roses or weeds coming out of our tongue. How beneficial it is to add value to the people we come across each day with a sprinkle of fresh air instead of air pollution of the world. It is all in our tongue. Let our words be the inspiration to others. Read and Meditate on: Proverbs 18:2; Psalm 34:13 Tip of the Week: Be the person of a word changer to add value and inspire those you come across this week. Spiritual Food for Thoughts Monday, August 24, 2020 Scripture: Psalm 15:2 ... He who walks with integrity and strength of character, and works righteousness, And speaks and holds truth in his heart. Topic: Character Our character determines the outcome of our life. Each day we walk out of our house, we set the tone of our life by how we treat others, being kind, go out of our way to say hello to those who are not happy, or just being nice by telling someone what a great outfit they have on. Your uniqueness brings out the qualities that God has placed in your life. Read and Meditate on: Philippians 4:8; Romans 5:4 Tip of the week: Take the initiative this week and tell someone how special they are. Allow the Holy Spirit to lead you and impact someone’s life by your kind gesture.

Spiritual Food for Thoughts Monday, August 17, 2020 Scripture: Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth.... Spiritual Food for Thoughts Monday, August 10, 2020 Scripture: 2 Corinthians 12:8-10... 8 Concerning this I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might leave me; 9 but He has said to me, My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough always available regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weakness, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me. 10 So I am well pleased with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, and with difficulties, for the sake of Christ; for when I am weak [in human strength], then I am strong [truly able, truly powerful, truly drawing from God’s strength]. Topic: Strength Our strength is limited but God’s strength is powerful and infinite. How do we draw strength from God’s power? We draw God’s power by reading his words in the Bible and applying his wisdom and knowledge in our daily life. What do we do when we are weak and overwhelmed with life? This is the moment of truth when we look to God for strength during the most difficult times in life. Our weakness can be a good thing in our life if we are to lean on God for strength. God is not going to keep us from every trials and tribulations because if He did, we would never grow. That’s the ironic thing about weakness. The weaker we are, the more we call upon God to help us. The more we call upon God, the stronger we are in spirit. Read and Meditate on: Psalm 84:5 Tip of the Week: Look to God for strength in every situation that we encounter at work, home and relationships.

Spiritual Food for Thoughts Tuesday, August 4, 2020 Scripture: 1 Peter 2:17... Show respect for all people [treat them honorably], love the brotherhood [of believers], fear God, honor the king. Topic: Respect What is the definition of respect biblically? It literally means to place a great value or high price on something. There are four major areas of our lives, teaching us that, as followers of Christ, we should respect all men and women, other Christians, God, and governmental authorities. Here are some of the definitions listed below. - (v.) Esteem; regard; consideration; honor. - (n.) An expression of respect of deference; regards; as, to send one's respects to another. It’s so important to respect people. When we respect others with their unique gifts, it brings true friendship. To value one another leads to better communications and understanding of each other. In order to receive respect, it starts with ourselves showing others how to respect and trust each other. By doing so, it enables us to think of others in a new way of seeing their strength. Read and Meditate on: Philippians 3:1; Philippians 4:8 Tip of the Week: Let’s all show each other respect in appreciation of friendships, cashier at a grocery store, health professional in the hospital, nurses and so many others we encounter in a daily life.

The whole World should be praying this right now ... I got all choked up, as I prayed it. Let’s bow our heads and pray: Eternal Father, You made the whole World stop spinning for awhile. You silenced the noise that we all have created.... You made us bend our knees again and ask for a Miracle. You closed Your Churches so we will realize how dark our World is without You in it. You humbled the proud and powerful. The economy is crashing, businesses are closing. We were very proud, we thought that everything we have, everything we possess, was the result of our hard work. We have forgotten that it was always Your grace and mercy that made us who we are. We’re running in circles looking for some cure to this disease, when in fact we need to humble ourselves and ask You for guidance and wisdom. We’ve been living our lives like we will be here on Earth forever, like there’s no Heaven. Maybe these trials are Your mercy in disguise. Maybe this virus is actually Your way of purifying us, & cleansing our soul, bringing us back to YOU. Today as these words travel the internet, may all who see them join their hearts and hands together in prayer! Asking for forgiveness & asking for healing & protection from this virus ...GOD just wipe it from the Earth! Father You have been patiently waiting for us. We’re so sorry for ignoring Your voice... and in our selfish ways, we've sometimes forgotten that YOU are GOD! You only need to say the words and our souls shall all be healed. We ask these things in Jesus name!...Amen Praying for everyone Repost It Please Copy Paste. Amen

Spiritual Food for Thoughts Monday, July 20, 2020 Scripture: 1 Corinthians 13:7 Love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things [looking for the best in each one], hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening].... Topic: What is the fruit of the Spirit? Part 1 - Love. The fruit of the Spirit is the result of God’s presence within us. Let’s focus on Love as one of the fruits of the Spirit. God is love. When we have love in our heart, we will have unselfish concern for others. In 1 Corinthians 13:4 reads, Love endures with patience and serenity, love is kind and thoughtful, and is not jealous or envious; loves does not brag and is not proud or arrogant. It’s so important to produce this fruit of love in our lives to set the example for everyone to see and respect. When the Fruit of the Spirit is displayed in our life, it’s a sign that we are led by the Holy Spirit of God. Let’s take time to show love to others wherever we go. Read and Meditate on: Romans 5:8; 1 Corinthians 13:4 Tip of the Week: When we have love for others, the peace will come to resolve any issues in relationships. Love conquers all.

Spiritual Food for Thoughts Thursday, July 16, 2020 Scripture: Philippians 2:5... Have this same attitude in yourselves which was in Christ Jesus [look to Him as your example in selfless humility], Topic: Attitudes Jesus’ attitude was never to become defensive or discouraged. His goal was to please the Father rather than to achieve His own agenda (John 6:38). In the midst of trials, He was patient. In the midst of suffering, He was hopeful. In the midst of blessing, He was humble. Our attitudes reflect our behavior of happiness or negativity. How you look at life reveals in your words, speech, and mindset. It’s so important to strive to speak positive in your outlook. When we add value to others, our positive attitudes come out with joy and thankfulness. Read and Meditate on: Ephesians 4:23; Philippians 3:15 Tip of the Week: Let’s go out with joy, laughter, thankfulness, and kindness to one another wherever we go. Our examples reflect God’s image within us.

Spiritual Food for Thoughts Tuesday, July 7, 2020 Scripture: Psalm 111:10... The [reverent] fear of the Lord is the beginning (the prerequisite, the absolute essential, the alphabet) of wisdom; A good understanding and a teachable heart are possessed by all those who do the will of the Lord; His praise endures forever. Topic: Wisdom The biblical definition of wisdom is the fear of the Lord as that’s where it begins and God is the source. The earthly wisdom is really no wisdom at all because the wisdom of this world is folly with God (1 Cor 3:19). True wisdom is found in obedience to God, fearing Him and His Word, in the Word of God the Bible and by praying or asking for it. Here are some thoughts to ponder when it comes to wisdom. 1. Wisdom is an invaluable gift of God. 2. Wisdom is one of the most important virtues in life. 3. Wisdom -- or the lack of it -- can make the difference between success and failure, victory and defeat. 4. Wisdom begins with a fear (reverence, respect) of the Lord. 5. Wisdom is the ability to see matters as the Lord sees them, in order to judge them correctly. To seek the wisdom from our mighty God, study God’s words in the Bible and pray for guidance in our daily life to make good decisions. Read and Meditate on: James 1:5; Proverbs 2:6; 1 Corinthians 1:30 Tip of the Week: Let’s take the initiative each day by praying and seeking God’s counsel for wisdom to make good decisions.

Spiritual Food for Thoughts Monday, June 22, 2020 Scripture: Philippians 4:6... Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. Topic: Ways to Practice Peace Part 1 The definition of "peace" in the Bible, from the Greek word (eireinei), refers to a mental attitude of tranquillity based on a relationship with God in the Christian Way of Life. It is a word which describes the result of a person's correct response to God's Grace. The Bible uses "peace" in two ways. First, there is personal peace with God which comes when a person accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Second, there is peace of God which is available to believers on a daily basis when the believer participates in the Christian way of life according to the will of God. Here are some tips to practice peace in our life. Be selective of how we spend our time on our daily life. For example: o Let’s focus on working one project at a time and avoid doing too many projects and end up not finishing anything at the end of the day. o Don’t be in a hurry doing something before thinking it through. o Avoid distractions so we can hear the Holy Spirit speaking to us. When we are led by the Holy Spirit, that’s when things go smoothly. Read and Meditate on: Matthew 5:9; Colossians 3:15 Tip of the Week: Let’s be selective of how we spend our time. Is our decisions we are making give us peace or doubt? When in doubt, go to the Bible and read the scriptures surrounding PEACE. Be still and know God is in control.
