This morning at 0340 Station 70 was dispatched for a motor vehicle accident in the 9300 block of Station Rd. Squad 707, Rescue 708, Fire Police 7001 and 7002 responded without delay. Upon arrival found 1 vehicle roll over into a utility pole with patient out of the vehicle in the care of 70L2. Chief 700 assumed command. The patient was loaded into 707 and transported to the hospital. Chief 700, Rescue 708 and fire police remained on scene until vehicle was removed. Command was terminated and all units returned to quarters without further incident. PSP Erie is currently investigating.
Here is a call break down for Greenfield for the first quarter of the year. Remember this includes mutual aid calls. Building Fires: 6 Vehicle Fires: 1 Brush, Grass Fires: 6... Emt Assist: 2 Ems Calls: 86 Motor Vehicle Accidents: 5 Stand by(cover another district): 2 Dispatched and Canceled Enroute: 21 For a Total of: 129 This was a busy quarter for us. We are currently sitting at 144 calls for service for the year already.
UPDATE: Pumps 2 is full and will have a waiting list we will email everyone closer to time to remind them of the class. Pumps one currently has 5 spots open. Greenfield Township Volunteer Fire Company and the Erie County Fireman's Association are hosting: Pump Operations I (5 spots open)... 16 HR Course August 27 1900 to 2200 August 28 0800 to 1600 August 29 0800 to 1300 Pump Operations II (full with a waiting list) 16 HR Course September 24 1900 to 2200 September 25 0800 to 1600 September 26 0800 to 1300 The classes will be ran through Bucks Community College. There is a class limit of 25 and a minimum of 10 to hold the class. This will be a first come first serve basis and will try and have a waiting list in case people cancel. At 1830 Greenfield was dispatched for a brush fire at Williams Rd and Prindle Rd. 7001 arrived on location and reported 1 acre mostly extinguished brush fire. Rescue 708, Tanker 715, and Ambulance 707 responded and 708's crew put out hot spots with a water can. Please be careful when burning anything with all the dry brush around.

Erie County Department of Public Safety will be conducting a Quarterly Municipal Disaster/Storm Siren Test for Erie County on: Friday, January 15th, 2021 12:00 ...City of Corry 12:15 Union City 12:30 West County, Edinboro and McKean 12:45 Mill Village 13:00 East County This test is done four times a year to ensure that in the event of weather related emergency the siren operates properly. The difference between the fire siren and the weather siren is the following: Fire Siren: Fire siren goes off in the event the fire company is dispatched for a fire, motor vehicle accident or rescue situation. It cycles up and down for a total of three short bursts. Storm Siren: Storm siren goes off in the event of severe weather to notify the general public to seek immediate shelter and tune into NOAA weather radio or other media sources for information. The siren is activated and will sound for (3) one minute cycles that will sound a minute apart.
At approximately 12:30 am Greenfield was dispatched to I86 at mile marker 2 for a MVA involving a semi. 707 and 708 responded arrived on location and reported no injuries. While clearing that location 707 was requested to go to I90 at mile marker 38 to assist North East for an mva. Psp is investigating both incidents.
At approx. 1500 hours Chief 700 came across a 2 car MVA with no injuries at RT 89 and RT 430 and requested Greenfield Fire police. PSP Erie is investigating the crash.
Greenfield was dispatched around 1240 to assist Findley Lake Volunteer Fire Department with tanker 715. 715 went en route and assist with water supply. #HMEAhrensFox

Tonight the members of Greenfield went to North East to do some Rural water movement evolution's, Tanker driving and pump training with the members of Fuller Hose Co# 1 and Brookside Fire Co. St 24 also doing ladder training it was a good drill and everyone worked well together and we got to show off the new tanker thanks for the invitation!!
