One Gur Aryeh student pulled out all the stops for Purim, dressing as the "Tana Kama," the anonymous rabbinic author who appears repeatedly throughout the Mishnah, a central work of rabbinic literature our oldest Judaic Studies students are studying this year. Check out the perfect costume: a cross between a rabbi and an anonymous spy. Ingenious!
Another great Purim pic!
Spotted this morning - Haman, Mordechai, and Vashti at a secret planning meeting at an unidentified location. What’s more, ketchup was served at the planning meeting. Quite perplexing... #PurimatGurAryeh
Abe Lincoln twin sighting this morning!
Four of our students read from Megillat Esther this with ta'amei hamikra for the first time, all from the actual Megilla. Here's just one student reading from the beginning of chapter six, a turning point in the narrative where the king's sleep is troubled by his conscience. Breathtakingly beautiful. Enjoy!!!
