We wanted to provide an update regarding testing at the Facility. On 4/6/21, we performed a facility wide COVID test on all residents and staff. We are pleased to report that all residents and staff tested negative. Moving forward, the facility will test once a month. We do not have any residents in Isolation therefore; our Isolation wing has been opened. We have established some guidance for newly admitted residents as well as any current resident that is admitted to the... hospital and out of the facility for over 24hrs. Upon admission or re-admission to the facility, they will be placed in our isolation wing for 5 days and then tested for COVID, regardless of vaccination status. St. Marys Pharmacy continues to monthly offer COVID vaccines to any newly admitted resident as well as staff members. Our indoor visitations are going well. We hope soon to expand that to outdoor visitation as well. Additional recommendations: All visits must be scheduled with Shelley Carlson by calling 814-486-4830 Monday through Friday from 8:00am-3:30pm. Screening of all who enter the facility for signs and symptoms of COVID along with temperature checks. Denial of entry of those with signs/symptoms. Face Covering/Hand hygiene. Visitors should physically distance from other residents that are in the dining room for activities. Felt Manor continues to work hard in our fight against the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Thank You for your continued support. Sincerely, Kimberly Jones, NHA Michelle Greenthaner, Infection Preventionist

The Personal Care wing celebrated "Noon Year's Eve". We counted down until 12:00 Noon. The residents enjoyed finger foods, sloppy Joes, and Sundaes. Then some played a spirited game of Jenga till the wee hours of the afternoon.

December 21, 2020 To Resident and Resident Representatives: I wanted to take this opportunity to update you regarding the Covid crisis at the facility. These past few weeks have been very trying for staff and residents and have affected each of us personally and deeply.... Today, December 21, we have 22 residents that have tested positive for COVID. Along with that we have 18 staff members that have tested positive. We are now testing all staff and residents twice a week due to the positivity of cases. All residents that have tested negative have been moved to our yellow zone, segregated away from our red zone. We continue to work with the Regional Response Health Collaborative to ensure we are taking the appropriate steps to reduce the spread and impact of COVID-19. We also continue to follow guidance from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Please continue to pray for Felt Manor and our community as we continue to battle this virus. If you personally know any staff members that work here, please continue to thank them. They have given so much of themselves to continue to keep our residents safe and healthy as well as keeping themselves healthy. We continue to offer zoom visits as well as Face time calls. If you have any questions, please feel free to call myself or Reshawn Shipe, Director of Nursing. Sincerely, Kimberly Jones Administrator
