HackGFS

For those of you who have iPhones, this update to Workflow is amazing and jam packed with new features. Ari Weinstein, one of the founders of the app, graduated from GFS in 2012, and he has been one of our inspirations for hackGFS and computer science in general.

Dear hackers, Thank you so much for joining us at hackGFS yesterday. We had a blast and we hope you did too! We’ve spent two years planning Philly’s first high school hackathon and to see it all come together after so much adversity is immense for us. I think we’re all still in a bit of shockbut maybe that’s just sleep deprivation. At its core, hackGFS is an educational environment and we’d like to congratulate every one of you on such innovate projects, some of which came ...from students with no background in code; really impressive stuff! I speak for the whole organizing team when I say, what you guys gave us yesterday is just as valuable as what we gave to you. We've learned so much. We’d like to thank our mentors and chaperones, judges, faculty advisors, and sponsors for volunteering their time (and money, where applicable) to our cause. Additionally, we’d like to thank the GFS community for having our backs with this event. Thank you all for your support! <3 We’d love to hear your opinion on how hackGFS went and what we should change going forward. To that end, we’ll be sending a survey around shortly.
