Each year we invite the widows that we work with, along with those who support this ministry financially to a "picnic". The highlight of the evening, along with yummy chicken BBQ, is hearing testimonies of appreciation from the ladies whom we serve!

Handyman Brad, along with his volunteer helper Ivan, took care of this out of control patch of weeds today! Definitely a big improvement!

Who doesn't love a good before and after?! It's been great having Brad back to work. God answered prayers after I posted about thinking there might be someone looking to help! Within in a few days I had a few people contact me! A friend of mine contacted me about her father, an older gentleman who had just retired but didn't want to get another full-time job. Brad contacted him and he was more than willing to help out! He's been helping Brad a few days a week! Another... friend of mine said they had been praying for something for their sons to get involved in and be a help to the community. They also helped Brad a few days! Such a blessing to have these men come alongside Brad and help him to get restarted with jobs. Right off the bat they tackled a big one! This dear lady wanted these shrubs removed from the side of her house and replaced with a fence. Her dog kept getting out and she was running into trouble with her neighbors. Thanks to the help from his new crew, they got the shrubs pulled out and hauled 4 trailer loads out of there. AND replaced it with a fence. Brad is feeling stronger each day. Getting back to work has proven to be the best therapy!
