Part of the barn crew! This rooster was not getting along with Big Red so he joined these ladies in the barn. We only allow a few chickens in the barn and they work hard to scratch up the hay and break down compost for the garden. These ladies give us some of the best eggs

We are making plans for meat birds. This spring we ordered 50 robust white broilers. We will have a few available as chicks, a few available ready for your freezer, and we will also be holding a butchering class to show you how to butcher your own chickens! We can only have a few people at a time to the butchering class so please message us if you would be interested so we can make arrangements for multiple days if needed. We are excited to start sharing some of our homesteading knowledge so you can start growing your own food as well!

Thank you everyone for the pumpkins so far!! The animals say to keep them coming! :) You can drop them off in our driveway anywhere.

I was worried Spruce didn't get his mother's curls, but I think he just needed a little humidity! The kids from this year are all separated as it is almost breeding time for the older ones. We ended up keeping 4 kids. Spruce (from Lily), Cleo and Delilah (from Creamy), and Lou (from Eclipse).
