Hanover Chili Cookoff

Check out the display, Jeff has created much sought and competed for trophies for the Hanover Chili Cook Off!

The Hanover Chili Cook Off has become a staple for community non-profit fundraising and Labor Day Sunday entertainment. The planning Committee knew that not holding the event in 2020 would have a significant impact on the non-profit organizations the Cook Off has supported and disappoint many chili fans so some fundraising efforts were made. With that in mind, Sponsorship and individual donor solicitations were made and in true Hanover fashion we were able to raise the funds... being distributed this evening but on a much smaller scale. Those generous Sponsors and Donors will be recognized in a Hanover Borough Council resolution and in social media publications. We are proud to be able to make donations of $4,000 to The HART Center and Guthrie Memorial Library and $500 will be given to New Hope Ministries. Please join us on September 5, 2021 for the 25th Annual Hanover Chili Cook Off.

Next year's WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP CHILI COOK OFF is gonna be so close in Myrtle Beach, SC. Go get you some fun!

Thanks to all who cooked chili, volunteered their time and all those who came out to taste chili yesterday, it was a great day. Funds raised will be added to the existing Sponsorship dollars in hand and distributed to local non-profits very soon. And another huge thanks to Matt and Allen of 3 Hogs BBQ for bringing their idea to life and giving Hanover a fun day in the sun.
