A Survivor's Story at Guthrie Memorial Library Good afternoon! My name is Michelle Ortasic and I work as the Marketing Coordinator at Guthrie Memorial Library. Because you attended the Prelude to the Holocaust class with Deb Smith, I thought you might be interested in attending "A Survivor's Story as Told by Her Niece" on Thursday, November 14th from 6PM-8PM. ... Mrs. Lola Hahn will share the story of her aunt, Helen Jonas, born Helena Sternlicht in Krakow, Second Polish Republic in 1925. Mrs. Jonas is a Holocaust survivor, now 94, who was interned during WWII at the Plaszow concentration camp where she was forced to work as a maid for SS camp commandant Amon Goeth. In her presentation, Mrs. Hahn relates the story of her family’s survival because of Oskar Schindler. If you would like to attend, please register by replying to this email, calling the library at 717-632-5183 or signing up on our website. Have a good rest of your week!
