Engine 6 was moved to Nanticoke City Fire Department to provide coverage, while thier memebers atteneded the service for the late Mayor and Firefighter Rich Wiaterowski. Memebers also had the privilege of rasing the flag on Hanover Township Fire Dept Truck 4 and Nanticokes Truck 1. Memebers of the department also took part in the cemeory and paid thier respects. May Rich rest in peace. You will be missed and we got it from here brother. Also Ashley Rescue Hose Company and Reliance Fire Company(out of Berwick) provided coverage. Kingston Forty Fort Fire Department Headquarters also moved thier Ladder up to Hanover's Headquarters to provide coverage. True showing of brotherhood among area departments!!!!! Well done ladies and gentlemen!!!

I’ve been a firefighter sir, he said For many many a year The pearly gates swung open wide, As Saint Peter touched the bell Come in and choose your harp my son, You’ve seen your share of hell. It seems as of late that these flags have been lowered more than they have been flying high. Flag flying at half mass for Mayor Richard Wiaterowski of the City of Nanticoke. Not only was he the mayor but dedicated his time as a Volunteer Firefighter for the city. May you rest peacefully knowing that all your hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed. Your impact will be felt for many many years to come, in the hearts of those you have touched. Rest in Peace brother we will take it from here.
