Early this morning at 2:15 Station 89 was dispatched for a Building Fire in the area of 800 Maple Ave. Chief 89 arrived on location with a large maintenance garage that had heavy fire through the roof. Command was established at 2:26. Multiple hose lines we’re put in service. As well as an aerial master stream. We would like to say thank you to all of our mutual aid that assisted us. Its that time of year again! As we roll those clocks back on Sunday(but honestly, who really wants an extra hour of 2020?), its a good reminder to change the batteries and test those smoke detectors. Don't forget about those Carbon Monoxide (CO) detectors as well! Both can and will save your life in the event of a home fire or CO incident, both of which become a lot more common as we head into the winter months. Tanker 89 is down in Norristown today helping cover their area today due to a large water main break in town that has taken their hydrants out of service. We are part of a task force of tankers and engines that have been rotating through to help cover the region. There will be static displays, trucks, rolling live demonstrations, shirts for sale and free giveaways! Please go to our event and click "going" or "interested" to get the latest updates and news for the event Below is the key info for the event with all the details, shirt pricing and the route for th...e day along with key road closure information For those attending the event, you MUST only enter via the intersection of Kulp Road and Park Avenue(see the map). For those NOT attending the event, please note that Kulp Road will be CLOSED between Park Ave and Main Street (both directions) from 12:45-4:15PM Saturday, please avoid the area (including School Lane and Park Ave) as best you can to avoid any traffic. Fire police will be at key intersections to assist.

QUARRY ROAD CLOSURE: From Lower Salford Township: Beginning October 1, 2020, Quarry Road between Morris and Upper Mainland Roads will be closed to traffic so that the Township's contractor can make repairs to the bridge. Due to concern for safety and the nature of the required repairs, this closure will be 24/7. Detours will be posted and will utilize Morris Road and Upper Mainland Road.
