Squad 44 and the Chief assisted on this fire this afternoon in Whitpain Township. Crews operated for over an hour before being released by command. Great work by first in companies to contain this fire.

And that’s a wrap!!! Thank you to everyone who came out and waved or gave a friendly hello today. Around every turn the amount of people waiting to see Santa was breath taking. The amount of children waving to Santa with a big smile on their faces was truly amazing. Thank you to our wonderful township residents who make doing this year in and year out worth it. We truly appreciate how great and supportive our Plymouth Township community is. From our family here at Harmonville to yours, we wish you all a Happy and Healthy Holiday season!!!!

Santa will start to make his rounds at 11am. We will attempt to keep everyone updated via this thread on where Santa will be. You will see Tower Santa and Rescue Santa. Tower Santa will be handling the areas around our Plymouth Valley Station and Rescue Santa the areas around our Butler Pike Station. Please be mindful that we will hit every street in our response district and cannot give you exact times as we are still responding to emergency calls when they arise. We hope to see everyone’s smiling faces today, step outside and give us a wave when we are in your neighborhood!

Luckily we were able to pull off a socially distanced kids Holiday party this past weekend. Thank you again to the committee for pulling this off and making a special event for the kids!

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: Jimmy Toth is one of our junior firefighters. He joined Harmonville at 14, volunteering alongside his father, who has served with us for 25 years. Jimmy says that his experience with Harmonville Fire Company has taught him a lot of life lessons, like communicating with others and helping his community. His time with Harmonville has also given him an education on different types of structures, electricity, and construction. Currently a sophomore at Plymout...h Whitemarsh High School, Jimmy is interested in going into the building trade after he graduates. Harmonville's junior firefighter program is perfect for young people who want to help but aren't yet ready to enter burning buildings. Junior firefighters provide important assistance at calls and in the firehouse, handling hoses, gear, and apparatus. The program is open to those aged 14-17 and provides vital training and education that paves the way to becoming a full-fledged firefighter. It also looks great on a resume for college or the workforce! Learn more about the different ways you can volunteer at www.JoinHarmonvilleFire.org.
