**ATTENTION** December 3, 2020 **5th Grade Parents and Students** Please be advised there is a new method for students to sign into their Google Meets. Please have your student check their Google Classroom for further instructions!!

**UPDATE - December 2, 2020* At the December 1, 2020, meeting, the Harmony Area School Board voted to return to the AA/BB schedule which was previously utilized in the district. Students will return to the same schedule they had during this time. AA students will attend full in-person on Monday/Tuesday, and be remote on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. BB students will attend full in-person on Thursday/Friday and be remote on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Admiral Peary ...Vo-Tech students will remain virtual for their vocational schedule, but follow the BB schedule. Special Education students (with the exception of individuals with speech only diagnosis), will attend 4 days per week full time in-person (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - These students will also be notified by the school). This schedule will be effective Monday, December 7, 2020. The administration and board continue to discuss various options based on the DOH recommendations, data, and health and safety of our students and staff. We appreciate your support and patience as we work through this pandemic.

**ATTENTION** At tonight's (10-27-20) board meeting, the Harmony Area School District School Board approved returning to a full time in-person 5 day schedule. Harmony High School Science students participate in a pilot test of a PSU COVID education program. In conjunction with Penn State's Center for Science and the Schools Harmony students will use a program that was created by some of the top PSU professors. Students will investigate COVID through 3 different lenses, Virology, Epidemiological Modeling, and Public Health Preparedness. Harmony's feedback of the course will help mold the course and eventually it will be released to... all of PA. PA Department of Health: Is it the flu or COVID-19? Some symptoms of are similar, making it hard to tell the difference between them based on symptoms alone. If you're sick, reach out to your health care provider to determine if you need tested to see if you're sick with flu or COVID-19.

Harmony Elementary Student Council sponsored "Hats on Day" to raise money for kids with cancer. Students participating helped raise a total of $113, which was donated to Friends of Kids with Cancer. This decision will be pending board approval at the October 27, 2020, board meeting. We have received word that the P-EBT cards are being delivered to those families who have not yet received them. Please pay close attention to your mail the next few days.

Help us congratulate Harmony's Brady Houser (9th grade), as he qualified for, and will compete in the PIAA District 6 Championship Golf Tournament this week. Brady is part of our Co-op program with Northern Cambria. The Top 5 places will advance to the state competition in York, PA. Best of luck to you Brady!!!

We are installing water bottle attachments that are touchless and operated by an automatic sensor. This will allow our students to fill their bottles up without touching the fountain button. Thank you to the Harmony Administration for donating 20 cases of bottled water for the students until the installation process is completed.
