We are all very saddened by the passing of our friend, David McCreesh. He will be remembered as a great Police Officer, a great Family Man, and a great Friend. Our deepest sympathy and prayers go out to Dave's family and friends.

Yesterday, we participated in the Back to School Event at the Black Reserve Bookstore in Lansdale. We were able to distribute backpacks, water bottles, and ear... buds to local school children thanks to a donation from the Hatfield Township Police Benevolent Association. This was a great community event and the North Penn Area Police Departments were well represented. See more

For over two months now, almost everyone’s world has been turned upside-down by the Covid-19 pandemic. Adjustments and changes to everyday life as we knew it have impacted everyone in some way. The Hatfield Township Police Benevolent Association would like to take a moment to show our appreciation and give thanks to the many residents, businesses and community outreach groups who have supported our organization by dropping off some food, making a donation to support our piz...za giveaways or just by being a good neighbor and helping someone in a less fortunate position. To all of you, we say Thank You. Unfortunately, the impacts of this pandemic are going to be far reaching and felt by many for some time to come. The Hatfield Township PBA reached out to two of our local pantries, Emmanuel EC Church, on S. Main St. in Hatfield Borough, https://www.facebook.com/EECCHatfield/?ref=page_internal and Hatfield Church of the Brethren, on Cowpath Rd. in Hatfield Township, https://www.facebook.com/hatfieldcob/ and found that they are seeing an approximate 30% increase in people who are in need of basic essentials. Both provided a list of items their respective pantries are in desperate need of and earlier today, members of the PBA went shopping and were able to provide some of these requested items to both pantries. As recipients of others generosity in the preceding months, we feel that it was more than time for us to pay it forward. If you are in a position to be able to help others, please consider donating to your local food bank whether it be non-perishable food items, a monetary donation or donating your time to help operations at the pantry. The Hatfield Township Police Department continues to have donation bins placed outside in front of our building, should you want to drop off your non-perishable items there. Thank you again and please stay healthy. See more

In 1962, Congress established a joint resolution that declared National Police Week to be held every year in May. This week pays special remembrance to law enfo...rcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty. We remember them every day, but let’s mark this week with extra significance. #NationalPoliceWeek #remembrance See more

It is with regret that the Hatfield Township Junior Police Academy is cancelled for 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The health and safety of our event participants, especially our cadets, is of utmost importance and ultimately the deciding factor to cancel the Junior Police Academy. The Hatfield Township Police Benevolent Association wishes everyone continued health during this difficult time.

The Hatfield Township Police Benevolent Association would like to send a sincere THANK YOU to those who made our three, pizza giveaway events a success. In our attempt to promote goodwill, support our local businesses and raise some spirits in the community we represent during this difficult time, we were able to provide FOUR HUNDRED AND TWENTY-FIVE (425) large, pizzas to Hatfield Township and Hatfield Borough residents. Judging by some of the smiling photos and positive ...comments we received, we succeeded in our mission! These events would not have been possible without the support, contributions and coordination of our participating local pizzerias; Hatfield Pizzeria, Goombas pizzaria, Vinny's Pizzarama 2, Spatola's pizza and Italian Restaurant Lansdale (original), andGiuseppe's Pizza & Family Restaurant. Please continue to support these and all our local businesses whenever you can. A big thank you also goes out to the donors whose contributions made the third event a reality. Being able to team up with all our Hatfield First Responders and grow last night’s pizza event even further was awesome! Thank you Hatfield Volunteer Fire Company, Colmar Volunteer Fire Company, and Vol. Medical Service Corps of Lansdale. If anyone who received a pizza has any pics they would like to share on our page or any of the above mentioned pages, please do, we’d love to see them! We will be taking a pause on our pizza events for now, but be sure to check-in periodically as we continue to monitor the Covid-19 situation and plan future community events. In the interim, if you have the ability during this extraordinary time to pay-it-forward and help someone in our Hatfield community or another community, please do so. Stay healthy, stay safe! #Hatfieldstrong See more

Together, Your First Responders are buying 130 large cheese pizzas to be given away to our Hatfield Township and Hatfield Borough residents. We know everyone continues to have a lot on their plate right now, so ...we’ll be taking care of dinner tonight. Our participating pizzeria today is Giuseppe’s Pizza & Family Restaurant, (215) 362-1401, 101 Cowpath Rd. Lansdale PA 19446. MUST CALL IN TO ORDER and mention #Hatfieldstrong free pizza giveaway.
