Haverford Jazz Residency 26.12.2020

Its that time again! Come show your support for Haverford Township's School District music program with the 37TH ANNUAL EVENING OF JAZZ on April 8th, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. at Haverford High School. The concert will feature the Haverford High School Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Lab Band and Jazz Combo, The Middle School Jazz Ensemble and the Middle School Jazz Fords with special guest artist, Dick Oatts (saxophone). This is the 3rd year of our Haverford Jazz Residency Program in which o...ur guest artist visits Haverford and works with our students over 4 visits. To say that this new program has been a success would be an understatement. It has been incredible to watch the artist gain a true bond with our kids. All proceeds from this concert directly benefit the Haverford Jazz programs at HMS and HHS.

Haverford Jazz Residency 10.12.2020

One of my true joys in helping to develop and stage the various events for Kelly Music For Life Events is the ability to use the proceeds to further the cause o...f music education in schools. Sadly today, the first thing cut from a school budget is usually the arts. I cannot imagine children growing up today without having the ability to see, hear, play and share the power of music in their lives. Yesterday, Tom Kelly of KFML and iradiophilly.com presented a check to the Haverford Jazz Residency to help continue their award winning Jazz bands and ensembles as they create the sound of music for all our futures. The Residency also helps to bring seasoned jazz professionals in a mentoring capacity to work with the students. The ensemble opened last year's Haverford Spring Fest and will do so again this year's The Third Haverford Spring Fest, once again on Brookline Blvd in Havertown on Sun May 1st, from Noon to 7 PM. KMFL was honored to be able to present a $1,000 check from the Spring Fest proceeds to them yesterday at Haverford High School Front row (saxes, from left) - Adam Ingram, Kate Ryan, Aidan McMahon, Jack Simpson Second row - George Newnham ( treasurer of the Haverford Jazz Residency Campaign). Tom Kelly, Shari Kelly, Jeanette DiLulo, Paul Kelly, Adrian Hickman (all KMFL) Third Row (standing, but not standing on chairs in the rear) - Rhys Evans, Alec Henderson, Alex Parmet, Drew Shanefield (HHS Jazz Lab Band director), Dylan Hincka, Jason Buzzell, Colin McAndrews, Nick Apato, Steve Mittleman Fourth row (standing on chairs) - David Auerbach, TJ Newnham, Charlie Wolfe, Amelia Winger, Simon Curry, Jack Anderson, Greg Kingston
