We are happy to announce that Feeding America has awarded $5.3 million to the MARC to support the Fresh-to-Go produce box packing and distribution for food ba...nks through the rest of the calendar year! Since the onset of the pandemic, Feeding America rallied behind the MARC with financial support for produce packing under Fresh-to-Go, enabling us to pack and distribute 8.9 million pounds of mixed boxes for our member food banks to date as part of the program. This latest award represents an even deeper commitment to using mixed produce boxes as a key tool in combating hunger and we are very thankful to Feeding America and their donors for their support!

Helping Harvest Fresh Food Bank is seeking applicants for the position of Executive Assistant. This position is responsible for administrative support primarily to the President and Board of Directors, as well as the processing of food orders with agencies and serving as the front door for the organization. Applicants must be well organized, have excellent communication skills, good computer skills, good note-taking skills and be an efficient multi-tasker. Able to conver...se in Spanish is a plus. A valid driver’s license is required. Other requirements include the availability to work occasional evenings and weekends as necessary for programming and community events. Helping Harvest Food Bank provides food to 320 program partners for distribution to families and individuals in need in Berks and Schuylkill Counties.
