1 = 250 Know the real cost of your mask. A typical surgical mask can be worn for, at most, 8 hours before it should be (properly) disposed of. With no antimicrobial technology or the ability to wash and dry, surgical masks are an economic and environmental calamity. Surgical masks are typically made by inserting a layer of polypropylene (plastic) between two layers of fibers. Polypropylene can have a lifespan of 450 years before it is broken down. For just less than a year of protection, you could be responsible for more than 4 lifetimes worth of pollution.

PROJECT CLEAN SEA The Environment, Science & Technology journal estimates that about 129 billion masks are thrown out every month; with a majority of these masks being improperly disposed of and ultimately ending up in our oceans. A portion of the proceeds from these new masks (in Bondi Blue and Deep Sea) will go directly towards ocean conservation efforts. There are many different viewpoints when it comes to wearing a mask right now. Whether you are for it or against it, the fact is that COVID does not seem to be going away anytime soon. Here in the U.S., some states have made wearing a mask mandatory in public places. Most businesses require them to enter. Our fusion / FACE MASK and fusion / FLEX GAITER both feature copper-infused antimicrobial technology as well as an odor-neutralizing interior made with our own hemp technology. If we are all required to wear one, we wanted to make a sustainable option that offers more comfort and protection than a regular mask.

People deserve better and that is why we are doing better.
