He is risen! On this Easter Sunday, we celebrate the one time, once and done, end all be all sacrifice of Christ: His life. For the Son of Man did not come into the world to be served, but to serve and give His life a ransom for many. What does it mean to us to sacrifice life daily? Do we even think in this way? Do we have the ways of our society or the ways of Jesus in mind? When we speak of sacrifice, is it done under compulsion or freely given? How can this sacrifice of Christ give us and those around us new life? Join us on ground or online at 9:30 as we celebrate this Resurrection Sunday! If you join us on ground, please bring your Bible, mask, and a friend.

This year, our sermon series at Hempfield Church of the Brethren will be working through the book of John. In order to better learn the Gospel, the teachings, and account within, would you join us in hand copying John's account? For our math people, there are 879 verses. If you want to take the rest of the year, write 2-3 verses a day. Half a year, 5 verses day. 3 months, write 10 verses a day. 1 tip: have a journal/composition tablet dedicated to this task. This may look di...fferent for different people. Some will copy the book alone, others may write in different color inks, some may write questions or insights in side margins. That's great! Do what you can :). Pastor Doug saw this challenge from one of our brothers in Christ and thought this would be an excellent challenge to take on. Will you join us? Whether you are a follower of Christ or not, you can join us. If you need a Bible, please comment below or message us through Messenger. #handcopyingjohn See more

Do you have a blank composition journal or paper tablet? Tonight Pastor Doug brings a challenge for the church and continues to speak from John 1. Depending on your translation, John 1:5 says, "the darkness did not comprehend, understand, overcome, grasp...it [the Light]." What did John mean by this? What was he trying to communicate? Why is this important today? Please join us Live tonight as we gather and seek to follow the Light! Correction @ 4:15: Should be J.R. Briggs, not G.R. Briggs.
