Hello Hershey Little League families, Football, Field Hockey and Soccer have all wrapped up, and the weather is changing into winter but we’re just getting started on all of the work and preparation necessary for another great season of Little League Baseball (HLL) here in Hershey. Changes have occurred on your HLL Board since the end of the 2019 season but the Board’s commitment to bring your kids the best baseball experience has not changed. If you get the opportunity, ...please take a moment to thank these gentlemen for their many years of service and commitment to the HLL Board: Doug Hummer, Brad Morgan, Brian Puza and Dan Schauble. Please also welcome newcomers onto the Board: Matt Schwenk and Robert Smith. And finally, a special thank you goes to another group of great people who continue in their service to the HLL Board and community: Dom Argento, Matt Bolton, Eric Callahan, Matt Coulter, Aaron Fackler, Jason Garver, Mike Gingrich, Steven Hartzfeld, Pat Meister, Larry Nelson, Scott Smith, Jessica Umbrell-Sevenack and Matt Wildasin. In our first meetings the HLL Board has already created and approved the annual budget for the 2020 season; begun work on a two-year strategic plan; aligned our various committees, commissioners and projects assignments to support the 2020 season; and reaffirmed the protocol and procedures we will follow as a Board. Additional information regarding the 2020-21 strategic initiatives and other HLL Board efforts will be updated soon on the HLL website under the FAQ’s and About Us. Player registration for the 2020 HLL season will be available beginning on December 9, 20196 and we are pleased to note again that there will be no increase in the player registration or capital fees for the 2020 season. Please watch for more details about registration and the 2020 season through email, the HLL website, and Facebook, with printed flyers going to the youngest grades in the Derry Township School buildings. In the meantime, please be thinking of how each of you as a member of the HLL community can join in the effort to make the 2020 season a great opportunity for the hundreds of children who play Little League baseball in Hershey. Finally, as your elected HLL Board President it will be my pleasure to work for and with the other sixteen members of the 2020 HLL Board, the HLL Commissioners, the countless HLL volunteers and most importantly for the kids and families of the HLL community.
