Good morning, friends and neighbors! Today is our last big chicken day of the year! We have plenty available for purchase; so, if you want some farm fresh, naturally raised, pastured poultry, send us a message or give us a call! (We should be finishing up around three or so.) Not counting yesterdays crazy storm, the weather these last few weeks has been perfect for our chickens, growin fast on clover and bugs. Send a pm or give us a call if youre interested in pasture raised birds!

We are thankful, though ... Denny had just the day before moved the cows out of that field where the trees landed. And yesterday morning we were greeted by a new little friend. Imagine if they were still over where the devastating wind went through! We're naming her Stormy.

None of us had our phones out yesterday to record the 200 chickens loose in the field after what we're thinking was a mini tornado went through. Starting in the corn fields, you can see the 30 ft wide swath of destruction as the wind took out trees and swept right through all our chicken tractors. 1 was completely destroyed, but we were able to patch 3 enough to gather the living birds. It took the 8 of us about 2.5 hrs to gather all. We only lost about a half dozen, so thank God.
