Oh this is funny! Hope all our HAC Attackers have found new teams or are moving on to other things. Just remember to stay classy, kids! I’m always proud of you all for what you accomplished at our our pool.

It has come to my attention that the Pittsburgh Riverhounds' mascot AMO will be making an appearance at the pool today from 6:00-6:30. Come on down to meet him and spend some time in the pool.

I remember the first time I brought my oldest son to the pool. He was 2 and the day was chilly. "Oooh, big bath tub," he said as he stood shivering in the middle of the baby pool. When I tried to pull him out (he was turning blue) he cried. When he and his brother were young I'd pile them into a red wagon and literally schlep them to the pool for the day. Living on the street, I'd see the kids arrive for practice every morning as I watered my plants, the teenagers coming in c...ars and honking at me, and then one day the teenagers were my own boys. From baby pool to lessons to swim team to guarding, managing and coaching, the boys were raised here, and Phil and I made friends we'll have forever. Tell us your memories, or what makes HAC special to you, and maybe, just maybe, I'll tell you about The Totally Unauthorized and Possibly Illegal Highland's Winter Classic of 2011. See more
