JAN 3: NERDCON Grab some friends and join us on the evening of January 3 as wekick-off the new year with NERDCON! We are celebrating nerdiness in all its forms! It will be like Comic-Con, there will beactivities, groupgames, the main session with agospelpresentation, and--of course--acosplaycontest! So, save the date now (get your friends to save the date, too!), begin creating your costume, then come nerd-out with us on the 3rd. Cosplay Contest Rules: You may comp...ete as part of a group, but competing in multiple groups is not allowed. Your costume must be modest. Just keep it PG-rated. The contest is open to characters from published works; movies, TV shows, comic books, cartoons, video games, card games, and etc. Contestants are not allowed to throw anything off the stage, nor use projectiles or use anything on stage that will leave a mess. This includes (but is not limited to) liquids, glitter, and confetti. No pyrotechnics, fire, explosive devices, live animals, or similar special effects can be used during the competition; this includes smoke/smog machines and flash powder. Costume presentation: Presentations must be only 30 seconds long. (Optional): Skits, singing, poetry, speeches, and things like these are highly encouraged but optional.just keep it under 30 seconds. Our Cosplay contest aims to reward those who display the most amount of skill and craftsmanship. Level expected is Beginner: This is for those who have never been in a cosplay competition before and/or do not have a lot of experience costuming. Last but not least - have fun. Don’t take it too seriously if it all doesn’t go according to plan, it often doesn't.

This Sunday! Get those ugly sweaters ready! We are going getting together for a time fun and games! This will be our last meeting this year so don't miss it! Note: In keeping with the call to caution from our elder board, we will be meeting with masks and social distancing. Please be aware that we will not police or enforce masks. If someone is not wearing a mask we will assume their health condition, or conscience does not permit them to wear one. No one will be barred from the youth group for not wearing masks.
