FAMILY CAMPING For a full one year, Covid panic has kept most of our children and the elderly parents at homes, mostly glued to the electronic devices and TVs. Finally the situation seems to be turning around. The daily new Covid-19 positive cases are decreasing and the Covid vaccination is increasing. It may soon become safe to cautiously return to our past good days. With a great hope of creating a sense of normalcy, we are ple...ased to inform you that Himalayan Foundation-USA has planned for a three day family camping trip from May 28 to 30, 2021 at Farmington, PA. We hope, this will give an opportunity for children and elderly parents: - to get close to nature and enjoy its serenity - to be out of home and away from electronics/TV ( even though for short time) - socialize with friends and families together. We will be putting up in different Boys Scout of America lodges that are suitable even for elderly parents. Each lodge has a kitchen, living room, dining room, bathroom, fully air conditioned and bunk beds for 24 people. Other amenities: a) Kayaking/ Canoeing. b) Swimming c) Hiking d) Fishing e) Sports (Volley ball, Basket ball, Foot ball). Please bring your parents and children. Participants and Families of our Nepali Dance class, Music class, Boys/Girls Scouts, Soccer training class and ASL class are given the first priority. This is an opportunity for the three generations -Elderly, Youth and Children, to be together (Himfo-USA: 3G Bridge 2018) Interested individuals, please submit the number of family members (15 yrs and younger/16 yrs and older). Let’s keep an eye on CDC guidelines.

I salute you Tikaram Rimal Bhai. You truly displayed a rare human quality that may be fast evaporating today- Our human values are more important than wealth. You tried to find the right owner of the gold bracelet that you found. But when you couldn’t, you wanted to donate it in service of the fellow, less fortunate, brothers and sisters. You are still untouched by the modern day human greed for wealth. Thank you for your honesty and an excellent example which every one of us should learn. Himalayan Foundation-USA can still return the money to the true owner of the bracelet ( it is already sold), if he / she comes with proof of the rightful ownership. Ipad and Laptop delivered to the seniors and deaf. Covid pandemic has kept every one of us separated. In an effort to connect the Seniors and Deaf individuals to their friends and families, Himalayan Foundation-USA has been able to provide Ipads and Laptops to some of them. Thanks to the Department of Human Services, Allegheny County.

"Driver's License for the Working/Working aged women".Himalayan Foundation-USA has finally started the online learner's permit online classes, the first step towards obtaining a driver's license, for the Working /Working aged women today. Thank you Sara for volunteering to be their tutor. The first class was wonderful. The participants were excited.
