We are so grateful to neighbors and friends who help keep our Blessing Box stocked. The items that are most needed are pet food, canned fruit, soup, personal items, paper products, powdered milk, packets of pasta or rice dishes, pancake mix, packets of potatoes mix, snack items and vegetables (not corn). We ask that you not put in perishable items, anything in a glass container or drinks in cans. Thanks and blessings everyone!

Friends, remember to support our local businesses during Covid. It is a difficult time for many. A take-out order from The Starlite may be just the right thing to cure the winter blues. Good food and a meaningful way to help support our friends there.

What a wonderful new possibility - a community garden to benefit all the people of Blawnox.

We are sad to announce the death of our faithful member, Dot Roach. The family asked that we post the following message on our Facebook page: After much heartfelt and sincere consideration, the Roach family, would like to offer an opportunity for our extended family and friends to come pay their final respects to our beloved mother. From 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, February 10th, 2021 the Jarvie Funeral home in Springdale will be open for you to come to say goodbye to... Mom. In order to limit potential covid-19 exposure the immediate family will not be present in the funeral home at that time. After this time (11 - 11:45), the visitation will be restricted to immediate family only for us to have a private service and have our chance to say goodbye. We hope this will accommodate those who are struggling, as we are, with the uncertainty and frustration of dealing with our loss during these "covid times. We do respectfully request that you closely honor the times of visitation and covid-19 guidelines. Thank you all so very very much for your support and love. ~ The Roach Family See more

Thanks to all from our community for supporting the Blessing Box. It is being well used to help people in our community who need assistance to get through these troubled times. Feel free to put in non-perishable food, paper products, and personal care items. A stuffed animal wishing you love was in there recently. It seems only right! Blessings and thanks and love to you all!
