Our dear sister, Mary Jane Kania, has fallen asleep in Christ Jesus and now rests from her labors. A Christian funeral and burial for MJ and her husband, Jim, is being planned for after the Thanksgiving holiday. Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord! Held a productive and joyous Glenwood Community Clean-up Day at Holy Cross today. Sponsored by Thrivent and Holy Cross, we cleaned up Holy Cross's corner at Second Avenue and Mansion Street then proceeded up Mansion Street clearing vacant lots and helping elderly neighbors with yard work. Many thanks to the members and staff at Holy Cross along with the workers from Grounded.

Holy Cross rejoiced in the installation of Subdeacon Silas Hasselbrook as our new Vicar. Vicar and Mrs. Hasselbrook are looking forward to a year of learning and meeting new neighbors in Hazelwood.

Vicar and Mrs. Hasselbrook arrived at their new Pittsburgh home yesterday and were greeted with a welcome basket of Pittsburgh memberships, gift cards, and memorabilia from the people at Holy Cross, First Trinity, and PALM.
