Hoping everyone had a safe and enjoyable Christmas

Attention all families and friends of our Long Term Care residents! We are so grateful for your patience and cooperation as we work to keep our residents safe during this unprecedented pandemic. While we must continue to adhere to important safety protocols, please know that we do all we can to make visits comfortable and rewarding. To accommodate for colder fall and winter weather, beginning on November 1st we will move family visits indoors. To maintain careful atten...tion to safety, we will continue to allow only two visitors per resident. A child may visit but must be accompanied by an adult and will be counted as the second visitor. Pets, however, are not permitted to visit at this time. Here are other important safety requirements that will govern indoor visitation: Visitors cannot unmask during a visit; thus, no food or drink is permitted. Restrooms will not be available to visitors. We ask that all visitors use the front parking lot and enter through door 13. This entrance will be clearly marked with a green flag for easy identification. We will continue to screen all visitors for signs and symptoms of COVID-19. Once cleared by screening, visitors will be escorted to a designated visiting area. At the end of the visit, a staff member will escort visitors to the main lobby where they are to exit. Please understand that, at any time, indoor family visitation can be affected by Montgomery County’s COVID-19 positivity rate. If the rate should exceed 10%, we will need to suspend indoor visits until the rate decreases. Indoor visitations could also change if at any time St. Joseph Manor is unable to meet the necessary safety measures (e.g. screening, testing, and resources). If we can answer any questions, please let us know. Also, we are always available to facilitate virtual visits if you cannot visit in person. Again, we appreciate your support and understanding as we continue to manage through the pandemic. Thank you!!!
