This has been a bitter sweet project for me but I am celebrating wrapping up my part of this basement renovation today ....I built my dream house,had a kid ,and got married in 2007. Blood sweat and tears ran deep .Things didn’t quite work out as planned,but here I am 12 years later,framing out the basement I have longed to see come to life. 1 day to remove existing door and install with a new pre-hung ,Masonite, custom front entry door in Peppercornflavor. Old sill plate cut out and reframed with new rim joist. Sub floor cut out and pieced in with new sheathing.Tile floor to follow another time. Kick plate and Flashing installed on bottom of door to prevent water penitration .Existing inside casing trim re-installed. This was a fun one! Total Porch renovation is a wrap! New pressure treated deck framed overtop of exsisting concrete porch.New roof ,flashing,capping,soffit ,...and vinyl railing with Azack trim in white to complement new composite decking in Sea salt grey.Old post and ceiling will be sanded and painted down the road by home owner.
