2020, what a year. Where to start? We had high hopes from the beginning. We faced challenges due to Covid (like everyone else) but ended up exceeding our expectations for 2020. The teamwork was incredible + everyone at Eagle worked incredibly hard. Don't ever underestimate the time and energy it takes to be part of an inspection business. We are happy, we are grateful and we are ready to continue the growth. Some exciting news to share! ... We have a new experienced inspector starting Monday - January 4th. More to come about him soon. Here are some quick tips on providing some TLC to your hot water heater. Replacing your hot water heater can be expensive. Proper maintenance can ensure that your heater will last. Know the Type of Water Heater You Own: Make sure that you know what type of water heater you have. You will at least want to know the age and gallon capacity. This will be needed by a plumber or water heater tech! Locate the Water Heater: Always maintain a two foot clearance around the wa...ter heater by not placing anything too close. This will leave enough space to service the water heater, and it will also reduce the risk that something will collide with it. Inspect the Pressure Relief Valve: Water heaters can explode if too much pressure builds up. Fortunately, water heaters come with a safety valve that releases pressure when too much pressure builds up. The pressure relief valve should be tested by shutting off the power and the cold water supply valve. There are potential problems that can come up during inspections. The seller is not required to repair any problems that the inspector finds. As the buyer, you can negotiate for the repairs to be made before you buy the home. If the seller is not willing to do the repairs for you, you will need to make other arrangements or terminate the contract.
