The truth is if you aren’t giving 100% of effort to something you won’t get 100% of the rewards associated with it. Remember... how you do anything is how you do everything. Make sure you do things with passion, enthusiasm, and commitment. This means all areas of your life, not just one. Giving up too soon leads to a pattern of discouragement and bad life habits. So instead of making up excuses find out the reason of what’s holding you back. Solve the issue, do what it takes. It might be easier than you think. Be aware of yourself. Fight to get better. Don’t sit in your stagnant ways. Get out of your own way

Do keep your elbows by your sides and tuck them in slightly to catch your ribs. Don’t flare your elbows out, this pinches your shoulders and over time can cause injury. Head stays in line with the spine, no cranking the neck and throwing the head back. Don’t let your hips dip down. Draw your navel towards your spine, engage your core. MULA BANDHA! And of course, keep practicing. The more you do it the stronger you become.

Why we use Ujjayi breath in Hot Yoga Improves concentration and calms the mind. Ujjayi breath regulates heating of the body. The friction of the air passing through the lungs and throat generates internal body heat. It is similar to a massage for the internal organs; as the core becomes warm from the inside, the body becomes prepared for the asana practice. This heat makes stretching safer while the inner organs can be cleansed of any toxins that have accumulated. A focused Ujjayi breath can release tension and tight areas of the body. Additional benefits of Ujjayi pranayama include diminished pain from headaches, relief of sinus pressure, decrease in phlegm, and strengthening of the nervous and digestive systems.

Hot Yoga Hut has a strong team of instructors who are generously teaching classes to our friends and followers. Our goal is to keep everyone healthy & moving! We got you SOLIDER ON!!
The first important thing when staying relaxed during the holidays, is taking time for yourself. By taking some time alone to destress and take care of yourself, you’ll be a lot more calm. And, you’ll have the energy that you need the rest of the week to take care of your loved ones and celebrate. Don’t feel bad for needing alone time. Everyone does in order to be their best self. Try to find a way to unwind before bed each day. We love Yogi Tea Bedtime ... Don’t take on all of the responsibilities. Depend on your significant other, friends, or family to take on some too. Try to not put too much pressure on yourself to make everything perfect. This holiday season is unique, and definitely will not be perfect. Just try to enjoy it and live in the moment, like yoga teaches us. While everything might not be the way you want it to be, there are still things to enjoy and be grateful for. Attitude of Gratitude.
Instructor Spotlight Aimee Johnson What inspired you to become a fitness instructor & who do you look up to? I was inspired to become a fitness instructor because at a time in my life, I was super heavy and overweight. I was sad and anxious. Exercising saved me and made me who I am today. I want to bring that joy and sense of accomplishment to other people. ... I look up to my mom. She’s 60 years old and is in better shape then most people I know! She’s always willing to push herself to the max. We should all be more like that! What’s the hardest thing you’ve gotten through that your fitness journey has helped you through? Any stressful life event. Moving, breakups, crappy jobs. It’s helped me have that moment every day to myself and turn my brain off. What is a ritual or something you do prior to teaching/planning a class? I ALWAYS blast the playlist that I’m going to play in class that night on the drive over. Nothing hypes me up more. What is something that the HYH community doesn’t know about you that you want to share? I live and care for my grandma full time! It’s a crazy job and sometimes stressful but it’s allowed me to gain such a special bond with her and has allowed me to pursue a career in fitness at the same time!
