House Von Draken

Happy Sunday everyone! This is just a reminder that TONIGHT at 7:30 we will be having our open meeting at the Upper Salford Fire House! 782 Old Skippack Road in Salfordville. All are welcome to attend and see what House von Draken is all about! No matter what your age, skill level, or interests may be, all are welcome to attend!

House von Draken would like to thank everyone that came out to our demo at the Univest Fun Fest in Harleysville this past weekend! A little rain couldn't keep us away. Some of us even had time to showcase our skills in historical fencing - an activity that many of us in the group participate in! If you missed the demo, not to worry! Please come on down to the Upper Salford Fire House in Salfordville on Sunday September 20th, starting at 7:30pm, and join us for our open meeting! This is a great opportunity to meet us, learn more about us, and to be a part of the discussions surrounding our upcoming events! Do you have any questions or comments? Let us know! With the rain behind us, we are back and ready to go with today's event! Once again - please join us TODAY from 1:30pm to 4:30pm at the Univest Fun Fest on Shelly Road in Harleysville! (Across from the Landis Supermarket) Look for our table! There will be plenty to both see and experience. There will even be an interactive game for kids! If you've ever wondered what House von Draken is and what we're all about, this is the perfect opportunity to come and inquire! Come one come all and re-live history with us!

Correction! Tomorrow is the day! We apologize for the inconvenience, but due to the rain, the Univest Fun Fest has been postponed until tomorrow. Same time, same place! Look for us on Sunday, September 13th starting at 1:30pm!

Something else that we would like to add - If you cannot make it to this weekend's fun fest, but you still want to find out more about us, please come to our open meetings! We meet every other Sunday at the Upper Salford Fire House on Old Skippack Road at 7:30pm, unless otherwise noted! Our next meeting will be at the firehouse on Sunday September 20th. All of any age are more than welcome to attend!

House von Draken will be returning to the public scene on Saturday September 12th by participating in the Univest Fun Fest! Hello folks! Indeed it has been quite some time since House von Draken has engaged with the community - but we are back and very excited to teach and entertain our fellow public! Please check out one of our upcoming events below! We will be participating at the Univest Fun Fest on Shelly Road in Harleysville on Saturday September 12th from 1:30pm to 4:30pm. ... We will be there to answer questions, provide information, showcase some of what we do, and there will even be an interactive game for kids! Come one and all and re-live history with us!

A very big thank you to the Lansdale community and to everyone that came out for today's parade! We always look forward to this event each each, and we love the opportunity to march alongside hardworking businesses, scout troops, high school bands, and everyone else! House Von Draken had a wonderful time, and we hope all of you did as well! And kids, don't forget to share those pieces of candy and bags of pretzels! ;)

Who doesn't love a parade? Come on out to celebrate Lansdale's 64th annual Mardi Gras parade! The marches begin at 1:00PM in downtown Lansdale! Bring the kids! There will be plenty of candy, sights to see, Santa (of course!) AND! ... A special appearance will be made by House Von Draken! Come celebrate your childhood and travel back in time with us! If you catch us along the parade route, you might be lucky enough to get some special sweet treats from a few vikings, gypsies, pirates, and, of course, our Archduke Kyrin Baroosa Edred Arroyo vonDraken! Come on out and celebrate the start of the holiday season!

Psst. Would you like to know a secret? There is a very special private event that House Von Draken does every January. This event, known as The Feast of Plenty, showcases an evening medieval feast that is based around a different theme each year. Many members of Markland have already been asking us, "Hey! House Von Draken! What is this year's theme for your Feast of Plenty?" or "What are the details?" Look for answers to all of your questions in the form of an event page that will be created very soon! :) Tonight at 7:30pm at the firehouse, we will be holding a special official meeting that will be dedicated to feast preparations. If you have ever thought about learning more about the special events that we do each year, this is the meeting for you! Come one, come all! We hope to see you there!

Some photos highlighting our most recent public event! We were kindly asked to present several demonstrations at Landis Supermarket's 75th Anniversary. Kids crafts, fighting, drumming, fire throwing, clothing, and weapon demonstrations were shown to children and their parents. We were also assisted by members of the Shire of Buckland Cross, who gave several fencing demonstrations as well.

First Sunday of the month, that means it's the Household's official monthly meeting! A great time to bring in parties interested in joining, and hear all of what the Household plans to accomplish! Join us tonight at 7:30.
