Welcome Stephen Lutz, Camp Ranger! I am excited to let you know that we have a new member of the Chester County Council team. Stephen grew up in Havre De Grace, MD and was a Scout with Troop 965. After graduating high school, he spent four years at Camp Lejeune, NC as Generator Mechanic in the United States Marine Corps. Stephen married his high school sweetheart, and they have a two-year-old daughter. Stephen is excited for this position because of his love for the outdoors and the great experience he had Scouting. Stephen will work with Evan Ellwanger, Property Manager and Head Ranger to maintain the beautiful Horseshoe Scout Reservation.

Congratulations Jackie Palmer! Today the Muddy River Gang selected their member of the year for 2020. The MRG is a great group of volunteers that visit camp each week to complete various projects. Their support is so valuable to the success of the camp and ensuring our facilities are top-notch! Great job to all MRG members!

Our custom made 2021 HSR calendar features a picture for each month taken at HSR on that month on 2020. Why not enjoy a sunset from The Horseshoe Chapel, celebrate the holiday with a snowy covered Lawrence Lodge, or see the newly renovated Achgeketum Fire Circle.
