It’s with great sorrow and pain that we announce the tragic loss of Paramedic Supervisor Matthew Smeltzer, a Paramedic Supervisor from Rostraver / West Newton EMS, he was killed this morning while attending to an injured person on interstate 70. Please keep him, his family and his coworkers in your thoughts and prayers.

North Strabane Firefighter/Paramedic Jeff Platt is riding in the 2017 PA EMS Memorial Ride from the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville to Harrisburg. Jeff is cyc...ling with 40 other EMS Providers from Western PA, representing NSTFD, LifeFlight and EMS West. Participants will arrive at the Capitol Building tomorrow, 9/11.
