Impact Venture Challenge 09.02.2021

Are you interested in starting your own business? Would you like to have a few thousand dollars to help you start your business? The Impact Venture Challenge is a faith-informed business plan competition that is starting this week. We welcome students from all majors to participate. There are workshops and mentors who will help you develop your plan. Here is the video from last year's finale.... You are able to have family members and others join your team. **If you don't have an idea, we can help you join a team so that you can work with other students.

IVC Finale, November 8 @ 4 PM!!!Meet the finalists... Shae Stoltzfus, Business Administration Smores Galore is an experience that allows you to create your own gourmet smore. Choosing from a variety of graham crackers, chocolate, special toppings, and homemade marshmallows is what allows you to take yourself back to those summer campfire nights with a creative twist. Through giving your taste buds an experience they will never forget, we are able to create opportunities for others. We will be creating a Second Chance Campfire program that will allow people in prison reform programs to connect with employers and mentors.

Dairy Dog is an ice cream business looking to bring communities together through the love of ice cream, dogs, and giving back. Our tagline, I make. You eat. We give. represents the heart behind the business. The Dairy Dog team makes ice cream and specialty desserts; gives it to you, the customer, to enjoy; and with the profits from the ice cream sales, gives back to our partner non-profit to promote education and micro-finance activities in marginalized communities.

Impact Venture Challenge 17.12.2020

This Sunday, November 8, 2020 at 4pm, five entrepreneurial student-led teams will present their business plans to a panel of three judges and an audience via livestream (https://portal.stretchinternet.com/messiahadmin/) as they compete for $5,000, $3,000 and $2,000 (1st, 2nd, 3rd) for their new ventures through Messiah University’s Impact Venture Challenge. Sixteen teams entered the competition during the 2019-2020 academic year and worked with faculty members, community ment...ors, nonprofit organizations, potential investors, and other business leaders who guided them through workshops, presentations, mentoring sessions, among other learning experiences. The Impact Venture Challenge encourages students to develop and launch business ventures that address important societal needs. The third and final round of the competition will occur at the finale as the judges’ scores and audience vote will determine the first, second and third prize winner of the competition.
