Drawing can help us understand and envision new ideas. But most people don’t think they can draw. Learn the basics with LUMA CEO Chris Pacione in his #TEDxPGH talk How to Draw Anything in the Universe
At LUMA, we believe any individual, team and organization has the potential to innovate, but may not know how. From that deeply held belief, we created the LUMA System of Innovation: an easy-to-learn, flexible and scalable framework that people can apply in their daily work to tackle problems of all sizes.
Our CEO Chris Pacione was honored to present at TEDxPittsburgh this past weekend. What he wasn’t expecting was to see his likeness presented in this delicious treat, courtesy of the talented Jasmine Cho. Re-posted with permission from Yummyholic. "Today I’m introducing another new friend, Chris Pacione. Chris is a designer and the CEO and Co-Founder of LUMA Institute. He gave a delightful talk at TEDxPittsburgh this year, providing five steps that prove how anyone can d...raw. The most impactful part of his talk for me (in addition to his amazingly illustrated slides) was when he asked the audience to raise their hands if they thought they could draw. As expected, not many raised their hands. He then showed a clip of him asking the same question to his son’s 4th grade class, and all hands shot up in the air without hesitation. Most kids are yet to be burdened with overthinking and self-judgment. Chris believes as adults, we start automatically interpreting the question as, 'Can you draw well?'" ... Drawing is essentially a tool for humans to communicate and connect. As an aspiring art therapist, drawing is also an outlet and a way to express what’s hidden or what is too difficult to verbalize. Not all art might be considered masterpieces, but everyone can certainly create it and reap its positive benefits. ... "How might we improve our employee onboarding process? Draw a storyboard. How might we get more people to vote? Make a concept poster and present it. How might we transform our neighborhood into an attractive place to live? Picture it from above. See more
