Lots of interesting things on the walls at interstate when you come inside. What is your favorite? One of ours is a softball uniform for one of our predecessors. Back in the 70’s and 80’s the bar was known as the Moyer Inn. This classic uniform adorns the wall in our dining area. We are open today for dining inside or out from 4 to 8 as well as take food and drinks.

Our dining room has missed you! We are slowly dipping our toes into *very* limited indoor dining (current Philly capacity limits allow our space to have 9 patrons at a time inside), starting with this Friday and Saturday. Seating will be limited to 4 guests per table (bar seating is not allowed) and we are asking that you limit your dining to 75 minutes. These spaces will be available on a first come, first served basis during our current hours of 4-8 PM on Friday and Sa...turday. Just come to our takeout window to check for availability or call ahead shortly before coming by. Due to our current staff size, our food menu at this time is limited...so please check the link below for what will be available during your visit. Bad things happen in Kensington. Bad things. It appears that we have lost our wing battle vs @memphistap this week. While we have heard rumors of long dead kenzos and unregistered Philadelphians from delco illegally voting. Plus evidence that Russian river bots infiltrated the voting system, for the good of the @lordofthawings tournament, we accept the results and move forward. Warm up tonight with some takeout and a takeaway draft! We’ve got two fantastic drafts pouring at only $4/each...a funky gin barrel aged saison from Hermit Thrush Brewery in Vermont and the delicious Funny Farmhouse Cider from Bullfrog Brewery. We’ll also be closed on Easter Sunday, so stop by before then to stock up on some teas for the holiday!

We love @memphistap. Look - even their owner is sporting an interstate shirt in this pic. In our opinion, they have the best beer program in the city. Going up against them in the @lordofthawings is like battling your older brother. They have lots of insta followers, run all those cool events that start at 4:20 , and have been crushing everyone in this tournament. They are fierce competitors, just go ask some of the recent bars that tried to open up near them (RIP - pinevi...lle, fishport, sgt york, and plated nickel). They clearly dominate their little pocket of Kensington (not fishtown). Regardless, our wings are just better. We know it. They know it. You know it. Plus we have the fishtown iced tea. Dear friends, We are sad to announce that we will be shutting down our current to go service at the end of the month. Our last night will be October 31. With the onset of colder weather, and decreasing sales, we feel it is not feasible to continue that operation. As a smaller establishment, 50% capacity inside still does not allow enough customers to make the operation viable. That said, it is our full intention to reopen in March 2021 at 50% capacity inside and 50% out...side. Also, if something changes with capacity increases, additional stimulus/PPP, etc - we may possibly open sooner. We will keep everyone updated. We thank everyone who has stopped by during this time to support us. It is truly appreciated. That does leave two more weekends to scoop up some fishtown iced teas...and don’t forget the Halloween dog costume contest. Stop on by and be safe everyone!!

Hey everyone. With October upon us, we are announcing our Halloween dog costume contest. So many of you who have stopped by over the past few months come along with your dog. So when we are slinging drinks to go on Saturday October 31, please swing by with your canine friend in costume. We wanted to take this moment to thank so many of you who have come by to get a fishtown iced tea or one of our other delicious cocktails over the summer. We are so grateful for your support, as it allows us to keep the business from going under. As many of you have probably read, indoor dining will resume in Philadelphia next week. However, given our small size and the economics of it, we are going to continue erring on the side of caution and delay opening. That said..., we plan to continue to remain open for cocktails and beers to go (thurs, fri, and sat) through the end of October. If things change with regulations or additional stimulus measures, we will re-evaluate our position on full kitchen opening, indoor dining etc. We will continue to update everyone through social media.
