My first profession was a Registered Nurse. One of the questions that I get asked the most when I engage with a new real estate client is how I transitioned from nursing to real estate. I am always taken aback by that question because although both professions require a specific knowledge, I actually believe that the two professions require very similar skill sets. Both nursing and real estate are fundamentally about building trusting relationships. As a nurse, on a daily b...asis, I had to very quickly assess what a patient needed in order for me to effectively help him or her, the same applies to real estate. Nursing required the ability to effectively communicate with various people, the same applies to real estate. Just as no patient is alike, no deal is alike. I conducted my final closing of 2020 today.
