This is Construction Junction! They are carrying our product now and we want to help promote them. For those in the city, without a pickup truck, this gives them an opportunity to pick up a bagged item. Customers will also be getting a much better product than they would get from the big box stores. Our bagged mulch product is at a better price too! The box stores sell 2 cubic feet (which breaks down to about $2.45 per cubic foot.) The mulch in it then gets bagged and stored... for who knows how long . With this product you are getting 3.5 cubic feet (breaks down to $1.86 per cubic foot) and you know it has been freshly made this season. By buying mulch from Construction Junction you are supporting 2 local businesses and not the big box corporations. J.A. Colored Wood Mulches: #ColoredWoodMulch - Our dyed wood mulches are made on site from a precise mixture of wood fiber products. We use our own unique colorants that give the mulches colors that last all season when installed correctly. They are sold by the cubic yard and able to be picked up here by anyone! Cherry Brown This is our signature and most popular color sold out of all our colored wood mulches. Some people call it Chocolate Brown. The Cherry Brown is a rich b...rown color with hits of red undertones. Black- Our black is deeply rich. The black can really set your colorful plants apart. Green, Purple, or Pink plants and/or flowers can truly pop against black mulch. Red- Our red mulch is made from 100% recycled pallet wood. Its red color truly pops! Red is a true classic. Saffron This color is made from 100% recycled pallet wood. It is unique color of beautiful golden yellow with hits of orange and red. It reminds us of the rising sun and is an amazing complement to deeper colored plants and flowers. Questions regarding any of our mulches? Want to see how they are made? #Landscapingtips from J.A. Rutter Co! Preparing Landscape Beds for Mulch: Clean up planting beds by removing leaves and debris from winter damage. Rake up dead foliage from perennial beds and trim ornamental shrubs.... To prepare your landscape beds, edging is a must. Edging helps to define the line between your landscaping and lawn. Edging will prevent your grass from growing into the landscape beds. Clean edging will also give your landscape a sharp and well-kept look. Before you apply new mulch, it’s a good idea to wait for your plants to sprout up. This way you know where they are and don’t cover them and prevent them from growing. Don't let the mulch touch tree trunks and never let the mulch accumulate to more than a 3-inch depth. Mulch not only makes planting areas look neat, but also helps to retain moisture in the soil, keeps roots cool in the summer, and insulates them in the winter. As mulch decomposes, it adds organic matter to the soil. #landscapingcompany #landscapingexpertise #mulching J.A. Rutter Co-a DEP regulated facility. Natural Bark #Mulch Our natural bark mulch comes in two different variations, single shred and double shred. Single Bark - The single shredded bark comes straight to us from the saw mill. It is the raw product for our double bark. It's light in color and very inconsistent in size. Single bark is not recommended for decorative mulch due to its inconsistency.... Double Bark This natural bark mulch is made from hardwoods and is medium to dark brown in color. This mulch is constantly decomposing. It generates heat so it must be cool to the touch before putting it around plants. Because it is constantly decomposing it can turn a whitish-grey in 6-10 weeks. Bark mulches, while not as consistent and stable in color as dyed mulches, are a cost effective natural solution to moisture retention. They also help with weed control and erosion prevention. #naturalbarkmulch #landscapingcompany #landscapingtips Learn more about all the types of mulches and products we make here at J.A. Rutter Co.
