Every year, Rutter's generously gifts some of their employees $1,000 so they can donate it to a non-profit. This year, Chris Hartman, of Rutter's, donated his $1,000 to our Early Childhood Education department. This money will be used on supplies for our therapeutic playroom and general learning supplies. Dear JCC Members and Families, As you likely know, Governor Tom Wolf instituted new safety policies and protocols yesterday regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, which will take effect tonight at midnight. These policies and protocols will remain in effect through Sunday, January 4. Details from yesterday's announcement can be found here. Given yesterday's announcement, along with our unconditional commitment to your health, safety, and overall well-being, the JCC will suspend all... of its operations and services within the building, beginning today at 6:30 PM (our regular Friday closing time). Our preschool and child-care programs at both campuses, as well as our School-Aged Child Care, will continue to operate during this time, as permitted by the Governor and Pennsylvania's Department of Human Services' Office of Child Development. As we have actively prepared for this possibility, we are excited to continue to offer our high-quality services and programs - easily accessible from the comfort of your own home and/or outside of the building (on our property). Let's get creative with Art Camp! This winter specialty camp allows children to not only explore their creative side through art but to learn about a few of the most famous artists throughout history. Art Camp will encompass and utilize different types of art like painting, sculpting, and collage while learning about Pablo Picasso, Vincent Van Gogh, and Michelangelo. Each day will be tailored towards a new artist and style of art.
