We are almost ready for the Christmas parties this week! There will be lots of fun, laughter, music, refreshments, and of course the Candy Cane Tree. We will also play the game Christmas Dance Freeze 6 Feet Apart! Come celebrate with us and have a good time! Don’t forget to wear your SANTA HAT and MASK. All Covid guidelines will continue to be enforced.

A reminder that all dance TUITION must be paid before the 15th of the month. Please have the month of December and any late tuition in this week. Thank you for your continued support as we make it through yet another challenge. Stay safe, dance friends.

Just Dance 2020 Today we celebrated Jean’s 68th recital, not in the traditional way, but in a way all of us will always remember. Held outside with social distancing, our annual recital showcased our most dedicated dancers who beautifully lit up the stage. Congratulations to all the dancers and many thanks to the teachers, volunteers, families, and friends who helped to make it a success!

Rain or shine the show must go on! Please arrive at St. Clair Park no later than 2:15 pm tomorrow, Sunday, October 11, 2020. Enter through the green trellis. Update on Jeanne Jeanne is home from the hospital today! She is still in a lot of pain, but the kidney is working! Please continue to send her well wishes, good vibes, and prayers as she recovers at home. Her family is reading each and every message to her! Thank you again for your support.

Update on Jeanne: Jeanne’s kidney transplant surgery was successful yesterday, and she seems to be doing well, but she still has a long road to recovery! Please continue to keep her in your prayers so that she doesn’t experience any complications and most of all that her body does not reject the new kidney. Thank you all for your support!

We’ve been given the green light so Let’s Dance! The studio will reopen this Monday, June 8, 2020 and dance classes will run through the END of June. We will be following the CDC guidelines for reopening. This means sanitizing hands upon entry, maintaining social distancing, and limiting the waiting area to one person per student or waiting in your car during class. ***Costumes will be distributed on the first class. ***Full June tuition is due on the first class. ***No... costumes will be given out until June tuition is paid. Our two talented Senior dancers Nicki and Bri were unable to perform in their final recital on the expected date, but since we are getting the green light, we hope to spotlight them soon this summer in our annual show! Details to follow.

Senior Spotlight A big congratulations to this amazing Senior dancer: Nicolette Cook. Nicolette has danced at JCDS for 15 years and has studied Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Hip Hop, and Poms. She will graduate from Hempfield High School this summer and continue her education by attending Penn State University where she will major in Biology. We are so proud of all of her accomplishments and will miss her passion for dance. Good luck, Nicolette... you will do great things!

Spotlight on this amazing dancer, who is a Senior this year and will graduate from Hempfield High School this summer: Brianna Smith. Bri has danced at JCDS for 15 years and has taken Poms, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Pointe, and Ballet. She plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh in the fall and major in Pre-Pharmacy. We are so proud of Bri and can’t wait to see what the future holds for her!

Given the current situation with the Covid-19 pandemic, we are in the process of setting up online dance classes via Zoom. Many school districts are relying on Zoom to do their online teaching. In fact, three of our staff members are teachers and stream their own live classes. We think this would be a great way to stay connected to our students and keep them active and entertained!
