In honor of Emergency Nurses Week, meet Trish Holland (left) and Nancy Glatfelter (right)! Trish currently serves our patients as a Clinical Operations Coordina...tor and has been with Jefferson for 17 years, and Nancy serves as a Trauma and Emergency Department Nurse and has been with us for 27 years! In July of 2019, they were instrumental in helping patients who were injured in a serious car accident outside of TJUH. Trish shared that, "It was amazing to watch all disciplines come together to provide seamless, cohesive care to all our patients in need. It's an honor to serve our patients and the community." Nancy added that, "serving as a patient advocate makes me more grateful for everything in life."

Congratulations to Emily Burg, a Jefferson Nurse in Jefferson Methodist Hospital's B6 Medical Unit, for earning a September 2019 DAISY Award! She was nominated by two patients for her caring rapport, her compassion and her calm and professional manner.

Put people first. That was Rachel Locantore's mindset when she cared for fellow Jefferson Nurse Cathy Marra when she was admitted to TJUH as a patient. "She was there for me and treated me with respect, not only for being a fellow RN but as a patient, and most importantly still a scared human being. I could not imagine trying to get through those first few hours without her." Congratulations to Rachel, our September 2019 DAISY Award winner, thank you for living out our values!

Happy Graduation Day! Our Jefferson Nurse Recruitment team in Center City was at the Jefferson College of Nursing Breakfast/Class Day to congratulate them before they graduate!
