Helpful, more effective language

If not a parent might be a step parent, foster parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, sibling, friend, coach, teacher, therapist, boss or mentor. I can’t remember where I read it but someone looked at how traumatized children with terrible home lives become the exception and grow up to be mostly okay. They found that those people had someone in their life, even if in their life for a short time, that had an important impact in two ways. One that the person believed in them and he...lped them believe in themselves. The other that the person showed them how to be: kind, responsible, successful, etc so they had in their mind there is this path to a better place and they were capable of making the journey. So when we say kids are resilient, they are, but they need to be believed in, to feel loved, and have a role model. We can build resilience with a few tools and being present in a child’s life, whoever we are to that child.

The older you get... the more choices you have...

Men can build too, everything except the baby. But still, very funny.

Check to see if your child sleeps with the mouth open. https://www.kidspot.com.au//179655906e839c0cb6ff93b872/amp
