The Jersey Shore Recreation Committee is asking for the community's help to collect #2 & #4 plastics. Our goal is to collect 500 pounds of these plastics to earn a free park bench from the Trex Company to be placed in the community. See below for a list of plastics included in #2 & #4 and places to take your plastics. We will be collecting plastics from March 1 to September 1 or until we reach our goal. The Jersey Shore Recreation Committee hopes everyone is safe and enjoying the snow Mother Nature provided us. The committee wanted to update you on the Christmas House Decorating Contest. With the safety of our judges in mind we will be postponing the announcing of the winners of this years contest to give the judges extra time to safely wonder through the Borough to judge the homes. Winners will be contacted on Monday December 21, 2020.

The Jersey Shore Recreation Committee has seen some very nicely decorated homes throughout the Borough, in the spirit of the season we would like to extend the deadline to enter the 2nd Annual Christmas House Decorating Contest. If your house is decorated and you you'd like to enter it in the contest you now have until Monday December 14, 2020 at 3:00 pm to get you entry in. In these trying times decorating your house for Christmas is something you can do and keep socially distant while letting others enjoy your hard work. The REC committee invites you to enter the contest with your best decorating creations.
