Tomorrow marks the last day to take a tag from the Treasures for Children tree. We have 4 that remain. Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far. We will continue to collect canned goods for the food pantry in exchange for waiving a fine of up to $2. Our mitten tree still needs a few more items. Finally, we have 3 tags that remain on our Shining Star Tree that helps bring a little Christmas cheer to a nursing home resident. Let us share our blessings with others!
The Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library will kick off a month long season of giving tomorrow! Please help us support those in need this holiday season. There is so much that you can do to brighten the lives of area children, senior citizens, and families this year. We have the treasures for children tree that allows you to buy a gift for a child. The shining star tree that brings a little Christmas cheer to our seniors in nursing homes. Our mitten tree through your donation of hats, mittens, and scarves will keep children warm this winter. And finally, the library will forgive fines up to $2 for a donation of canned goods to the local food pantry. Together we can make a difference in the lives of many in our community!
Happy Thanksgiving to all our library patrons and their families. May you all be well until we can be together again!
This week's featured story is Click Clack Boo by Doreen Cronin and Betsy Lewin. Betsy is an author and illustrator who was born right here in Clearfield! This is a great story to read as we prepare for the Trick or Treat weekend. The staff at the library would like to remind you to dress warm, carry a flash light, and be safe! Thanks for tuning in! If you have a favorite book or author, let us know and maybe we will feature it on a upcoming story time.
