Happy Wednesday. Today is National Walking Day (and it also happens to be National No Housework Day too).... so, we hope you are able to get outside and enjoy some fresh air and exercise. It does a body good. But for many, just taking a walk can be painful or hard. We specialize in optimizing whole body function and relieving pain, naturally.
How To Build A Human: This is a very cool visual of the skeletal system that supports your whole body and nervous system. Let’s make sure it’s well adjusted and functioning at its best.
More Fun: Today the National Calendar says it’s: National Chia Day National Puppy Day And National Melba Toast day.... Now, Nobody really loves melba toast so let’s skip that. But...Puppies... yes please!! And....Chia! If you’re not familiar with it, it’s a tiny seed that when mixed in liquid expands and becomes gelatinous. It also grows sprouts on a Chia pet. But this seed is edible and can be made into chia pudding or used in place of poppy seeds in baking. It’s full of fiber, micronutrients, plant based gelatin (great for the gut), and even has good essential fatty acids. Here’s a recipe for Chia Pudding and, of course, some puppies . https://feelgoodfoodie.net/recipe/3-ingredient-chia-pudding/
It’s official, Spring is here! And so are the allergies. We’ve seen a big increase in patients having sniffles, congestion, dry and itchy eyes, and more. After a year of masking up and keeping away from all things virus, we cannot avoid the tiny pollen particles that are bursting forth everywhere. Here are a couple tips to help you manage Spring allergies: 1. Clean up your diet: processed food and sugar increases systemic inflammation and can cause your body more troub...le dealing histamine from allergies. 2. Don’t avoid the outdoors. Get out in the sun and get your Vitamin D and get some exercise. These are good for your immune system. 3. Get plenty of sleep. This is also essential for immune function. 4. Drink lots of water to help flush out allergens, histamine, and hydrate mucous membranes in the body. 5. Get adjusted! A well adjusted spine and nervous system will respond more efficiently and effectively to the environment and can lessen the affects of allergens on the body. 6. And lastly, if you wear washable cloth masks outside... make sure you wash them frequently as they can attract and harbor small particles of pollen that can keep re-aggravating allergies. We hope you enjoy a Happy and Healthy Spring!!
