Today's #TzedakahTuesday lesson is about the reciprocal nature of giving. Interacting with the person to whom one is giving tzedakah, allows the giver to begin to learn about someone else's situation, interact with someone from a different background, and see the commonalities we all share as human beings. A smile, a wave, or a warm greeting can go such a long way to make someone else feel good, no matter the situation at hand. Happy #VolunteerFeatureFriday! Today, we’re highlighting Ken Goldstein! Ken originally became involved with JRA through a volunteer opportunity with his synagogue, @Congkolemet. While the pandemic has changed how he volunteers with JRA, from focusing his time in the warehouse to being out in the community delivering to families, Ken continues to show up. Just last month, he volunteered at his 18th Food Distribution! I continue volunteering with JRA because it is enriching and satisfying.
