The Jim Thorpe Police Department is receiving phone calls from people across the United States. Our department phone number is being spoofed by individuals trying to extort money out of callers. The Jim Thorpe Police Department would never call anyone requesting bail money or money in general from anyone!!! These are scam calls. Report the incidents to your local police department!!

Jim Thorpe Borough is asking borough children to help make decorations for the borough Christmas tree, located in Memorial Park. Decorations can be placed on the the tree at everyone’s convenience. Ornaments are welcome, but just so you all know, decorations will be discarded after the holidays so perhaps consider not placing any sentimental items on the tree. Happy Holidays from Jim Thorpe Borough
