IT'S ABOUT TO GO DOWN....... make your reservations for the game this Sunday!!!! We are extending our kitchen hours for the game we've all been waiting for. Reservations are NOT required, however, HIGHLY suggested as we will be continuing to operate under the current Safety and Social Distancing Mandates put in place by Gov. Tom Wolf and the CDC.

Thank goodness it's Friday... Friday Fish Fry! Stop in today and try our delicious hand battered haddock. It is served with fresh cut fries and our homemade cole slaw for only $12.99 while supplies last! Today, the kitchen is open from Noon to 9pm! Reservations are not required, however, they are highly suggested as we are continuing to be under Governor Wolf's mandates. This means we can only have 25 people in the building including our staff. We are open for both dine-in a...nd take out. Please be sure to wear your mask while in our establishment. Feel free to remove it once you're seated at your table. Unfortunately, we are still not able to offer service at the bar and you must purchase a food item off of our menu to be served alcoholic beverages consumed in our establishment. For your convenience, we offer many of your favorite domestic beers and drinks to-go, available with ID (we will ask to see ID regardless of age). Wing Wednesdays!!!! .75 cent wings today at J.I.'s Place at Sugar Lake Hotel in all your favorite sauces!

I want to thank everyone that helped the father/son canoers Monday evening. From the two anglers who saw the canoe capsize and came running up to our restaurant to have someone call for help; to our server Jeri Rivera who stayed on the phone with the 911 operator until the crews arrived to maintain status on the situation; to our neighbor who jumped into action to launch his motor boat when I drove over to tell him what was happening (sorry it wasn't needed); to my husband (J....I. McCall) and Andrew Blauser who were quick to bring Josh McCall's kayaks out of storage and down to the lake; to my daughter Beth Ann Proudfoot who went out in a kayak and brought the father/son into shore; to the two ladies who were having dinner and came up to me to say they were both nurses and if we needed any help to let them know; to the Volunteer Firefighter who was on his way home from work and heard the call and was at the restaurant in minutes; to the whole crew of EMS responders who were so quick to take control and get the little guy and his dad warmed up; to our staff who were all quick to get hot drinks and hot food made up for the father/son to help them warm up; and anyone who played a part, big or small, to help these two people in their time of need. I want to say that on behalf of my husband and I, we are proud to be a part of a community where people can pull together and work so flawlessly together to make a potentially tragic situation turn out so amazing.
