Happy First Day of Spring JLB Art fans! The sun is shining and the grass is turning greener each day. We are so excited for warmer weather and better times ahead! To celebrate, we are featuring yet another VERY unique piece from John's collection. We have titled this painting "A Moment of Beauty" after reading a poem that John had written. He didn't name this painting himself, but we felt that it was very fitting, and a great one to share on this beautiful first day of Sp...ring! "The Moment of Beauty" by John L. A man spends most of his life learning and preparing; He is driven by a desire, an ambition to succeed... Success, whatever that may mean? There are appearances to keep up; this to some people is an end in itself. There is acquisition; the piling of dollar upon dollar, of possession upon possession. Some people feel they have only to surpass others, to win the prize, to receive the honors, and then they will be happy. They think that they will be happy in proportion to to how far they are ahead of the crowd. For them, happiness is something just ahead; always something which is coming later. But I think that if a man can only know that moment in his life, when real happiness is his... If he knows this, he needs nothing else. He must grasp this moment, for it is fleeting. It is the time which serves as a focal point for all his life to revolve around. This is the "Moment of Beauty" All art and music and literature. All works of the soul stem from this seed If a man can but know and remember this moment when he finds it, or it finds him... If...Like the breath of the warm sun and the smell of the new grass and the soft touch of the sweet blossom as I feel the kiss of spring. This is my "Moment of Beauty"
