On Christmas Day, their headquarters caught fire causing catastrophic damage to the structure as well as decades of memoribilia. The team also lost their beloved cat in the fire. Amidst the new mitigation efforts, Visit Johnstown wants to do something to help our restaurant and bar industry during this challenging time. We encourage our ...community to buy beer chips from local bars and restaurants. With this in mind, we are leading a promotion before the holidays called Chips for Cheer. The concept is simple, participating establishments will be selling Chips for Cheer gift cards with the following quantities: Just a Beer- One Chip Six Pack - Six Chips Twelve Pack - Twelve Chips Twenty-Four Pack Twenty-Four Chips All proceeds from the card stay with the business, and the gift cards make great stocking stuffers! Many businesses are operating with different procedures in place, so if you plan on purchasing a gift card, please call and check with the location first. This list is just the beginning and we hope to have many more restaurants and bars onboard before the new year. As most of you know, our organization owns and manages Thunder in the Valley Motorcycle Rally. It broke all of our hearts that we could not produce the event for our community in 2020 due to COVID-19. Rest assured, we are doing our BEST to bring Thunder back in 2021! We kno...w that the event may need to look a little different depending on the state of the pandemic and the enforced regulations. But, we need your support! We are trying to generate some revenue in order to get us off the ground after a rough year. We are currently selling $10 calendar raffle tickets for the month of February. We would love to have your support by either buying a ticket or two or selling some tickets on our behalf.
